Presented today is this beautiful example of Plains Indian beadwork, in the form of ornately beaded and decorated hair ties. Created by the Arapaho, they are 3 and a half inches long and the shell bangles a further 3 inches long. The
workmanship
is just gorgeous. They were
created in the 1960's and are in perfect condition. They are part of a collection of a very well-known and highly respected Native American teacher,
lecturer
and curator, and it is an honor to assist her in making part of her vast collection available to you.
