    Description

    Here is a fine pair of old vintage beaded gauntlet cuffs
    AND 2 belt drops.
    1.
    CUFFS
    The seed beads are very small (2mm.) and the beading is very tight. The beading has been stitched directly on to rawhide. The floral design suggests a northern plains / plateau origin.
    THERE IS NO BEAD LOSS  OR DAMAGE- IN PERFECT CONDITION.
    SIZE : Upper arm 5 ½ inches  wide (diameter  11 inches)
    Wrist 4 inches wide (diameter 8 inches)
    Length 6 ½ inches
    Fringe 4 inch

    DROPS
    Similarly, the seed beads are very small (2mm.) and the beading is very tight. The beading however has been stitched on heavy canvas and the floral design, although similar is only a close match to the cuffs. The background beads are distinctively whiter than those of the cuffs. These drops were crafted a later time and a different place than the cuffs.
