    Description

    This is a Reproduction US Model 1858 smooth side can like the ones used during the Civil War. The originals were made of tin, this one is made of stainless steel. It is 7 1/2" in diameter, has three sling guides, and a cork stopper. The sky blue wool cover is hand stitched  onto the canteen, and is not damaged. The white linen sling has been noted to adjust the length for the former owner. This can easily be undone and adjusted for the new owner! Of all the itmes a soldier carries with him, this is probably one the most important one!
