Woman, 24, killed, 2 injured in West Orange crash

A 24-year-old woman was killed and two other people injured in a two-vehicle crash late Tuesday night in West Orange, officials said.
Floribel Hiciano was a rear-seat passenger in one of the vehicles when the crash took place just before midnight in the area of Pleasant Valley Way and Belle Terre Road near the ramp to Interstate 280, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Hiciano died of her injuries at an area hospital. Two others were brought to a different hospital to be treated, according to a West Orange police spokesman. The extent of their injuries wasn’t clear.
Hiciano’s hometown wasn’t immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
